It’s all change for our annual event! This year we have a change of name, change of date and change of venue. However, we will continue to deliver a conference packed with insights into current and future technology, applications, user case studies and much more.
This year, Sterling Geo Conference 2017 will be held at Hothorpe Hall, near Market Harborough from 11 – 13 December. We are delighted that both Hexagon Geospatial and Leica Geosystems will be continuing to support this event with contributions to the programme and their experts onsite available for all your technical queries.
The programme is coming together and we will be making some exciting announcements about our guest speakers very soon (maybe even by the time you have finished reading this article). Our focus, as ever, is to provide you with an educational and informative event designed to highlight the latest technologies and bring efficiencies to your work environment. To achieve this, we will include keynote speakers, use cases, workshops and demos within the innovation centre. If you are interested in contributing to the programme with a presentation or workshop please contact Anisha; she will be delighted to hear from you.
There will also be many more of us to meet: our technical team is continuing to grow and our new recruits will be keen to demonstrate our exciting new products and services designed to create actionable information from geospatial and earth observation data. We have been talking about our lightweight apps and business analytics for some time; now they are here and will be ready for your scrutiny.
Did I mention we will be announcing our first confirmed speakers soon? We are thrilled that Jed Sundwall, Global Lead for AWS Open Data at Amazon Web Services will be joining us at the event. This will be a perfect opportunity for all data users to hear Jed’s thoughts on open data, space data and research computing. Watch this space for further confirmations from both the Hexagon Geospatial and FME senior management teams.
Keep an eye out for the latest updates in the newsletter, on our website and through Twitter. In the meantime, add a placeholder to your diary and register your interest by dropping us an email to firstname.lastname@example.org we will reserve your place and make sure you are the first to know when details are released.
We look forward to seeing you at Hothorpe in December!
